In today's game sound field, thousands or tens of thousands of sounds are required for sound conditioning.

The number of voices will be further increased in case of multilingual support such as dubbed voices.

The recorded voice of the voice actor brings the character to life by producing emotional ups and downs through vocal expression. The emotional ups and downs of the voice do not have a constant volume due to the tension of the voice.

Therefore, in order to make it easier for the audience to hear, the sound creator in charge of the voice needs to make the volume of the voice constant.

A compressor is a typical effector as a method to adjust the volume.


A compressor muffles the sound when it exceeds a specified volume level (Threshold) and sets the volume to a constant value. However, this method is not appropriate for all voices, and batch processing can degrade the voice quality of a significant number of voice actors.

Therefore, the volume was currently adjusted without sacrificing voice quality by manually adjusting the volume curve in areas where the human ear hears and perceives the volume to be too loud.

However, these tasks require careful work on more than 10,000 voices, one by one, and the current situation is that it takes a tremendous amount of time to complete them.

In order to mechanize this task, we conducted research and development and found the best algorithm. By incorporating the algorithm into ReaScript, we have succeeded in automating the majority of the audio.

✔Volume adjustment in “2 seconds


Acquires information on audio waveforms and adjusts volume using patented algorithm measurements.

One tone can be realized in 2 seconds until the execution result is obtained, and when combined with ReaScript, 100 tones can be completed in about 3 minutes.

What used to take approximately 2 minutes to prepare a single sound can now be mechanized to the point where 100 sounds can be performed in 3 minutes. This technology will contribute not only to game sound, but also to many other sound tasks, such as TV and movies that handle sound.

✔Professional - fine-tuning possible


One concern in doing this fully automatically is whether it can be fine-tuned immediately in the event of a problem.

The volume curve enables sensory adjustment through measurement and setting.

To facilitate adjustment, only the minimum number of adjustment points are changed, and the curve design is easy to adjust.

✔ Can be run on files with different sound levels

By using a patented algorithm, it is possible to perform the measurement in units of audio waveforms, even for files with different volume levels.

Even in the case of different adjustment ranges due to differences in the volume feel caused by differences in the recording environment, voice actors, and dialogue, the system can automatically create the optimal dedicated curve based on the information for each audio waveform.

By utilizing a patented algorithm, the design is capable of taking measurements and setting volume curves regardless of length.


Therefore, it can read changes in volume even for long lengths of audio, and achieve accurate volume curves.
